There are big gainers out there in the penny stocks market. Today, we’re looking at two of the biggest in the therapeutics industry.
Penny Stocks in Therapeutics: Soleno Therapeutics
There’s no way a company can jump up over 200% in a day without drawing attention to itself. The SLNO penny stock is, without doubt, one of the most exciting plays of the day for this reason. Up 271% at the time of writing, Soleno Therapeutics (NASDAQ:SLNO) has climbed from only $1.35 USD last night to its current price of $5.01.
The company’s gains are in response to the “continuation of its Phase 3 clinical trial, DESTINY, evaluating diazoxide choline controlled release (DCCR) in patients with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS), a Fast Track-designated indication in the U.S. and Orphan Drug indication in the U.S. and Europe.”
Now, the company has been given the green light by the Data Safety Monitoring Board to continue the study without any changes.
This is another prime example of how penny stocks that relate to healthcare can return sudden and massive gains to investors. All it takes is one positive outcome from a review or clinical trial to send shares soaring.
Penny Stocks in Therapeutics: VTV Therapeutics
The VTVT penny stock is also in the green today. Up 4% at the time of writing and selling for $2.36 USD, these shares managed a similar growth spurt of over 200% in the past. Back in December, VTV Therapeutics (NASDAQ:VTVT) released news that it had “exercised its right for a shareholder to purchase about 815,000 shares at $1.84/share.” This was significant because shares were trading closer to $1 at the time.
Since then, shares have remained below the $3 USD level, only breaching to $3.12 USD in early January.
The US-based company classes itself as a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company. The focus remains on the “discovery and development of human therapeutics to fill unmet medical needs.”
Were you aware that the therapeutics sector could deliver such sudden gains? Here are two companies that have both managed 200%+ gains in a 24-hour period.
