Photon Control, Inc. (TSX:$PHO), a leading developer and supplier of optical measurement technologies to the global semiconductor industry, has appointed a new Board of Directors member today.
Michele Klein, is an accomplished executive, investor, and governance expert with deep semiconductor industry expertise. In addition to funding four technology startups and leading two semiconductor inspection companies from startup to acquisition, Ms. Klein served as Senior Director of Applied Ventures, investing in and serving on the boards of multiple portfolio companies.
Photon’s Chair of the Board of Directors, Neil McDonnell said, “We are delighted to welcome Michele to Photon Control and our Board. Michele has a rare combination of industry, innovation, M&A and governance expertise, and has experience both as a supplier, of both OEM and end-user products to the Wafer Manufacturing Equipment sector. Further, Michele is currently the CEO and a Director of Jasper Ridge Inc., a technology company developing equipment to improve human vision. Prior, she served as the Senior Director of Applied Ventures, the venture capital arm of Applied Materials. She obtained her B Sc. from University of Illinois, and an MBA from Stanford.
