Is Golden Star Resources (NYSE:GSS) making a name for itself in the penny stocks market? It certainly looks that way. Over the past two months, the Toronto-based gold company has made numerous positive announcements, with the latest coming last week. And to no surprise, the GSC stock is still sitting in the green zone four days later.

As a Canadian-based gold mining and exploration company, GSC works in West Africa, Ghana, and Brazil. South Africa receives most of the company’s gold output.

Since August, Golden Star Resources has been rolling out announcement and after announcement.

On August 1st, the gold penny stock company posted its second quarter 2018 results. Highlights included a 20% increase in gold output from the Wassa Complex, as well as a 65% increase in grade processed at Wassa.

That same day, La Mancha Holding announced a $125.7 million investment in the company.

This month, Golden Star has more good news.

On September 20th, Golden Star Resources disclosed that it will be extending the Wassa Underground Deposit a further 200 meters to the South.

The mining market is reacting well to the news, keeping the gold penny stock trading in the green zone close to a week after the initial announcement.
