Blockchain Penny Stocks Down
On Tuesday, two major players in the Canadian blockchain penny stock space took a nosedive on the market. Both companies are based out of Vancouver, Canada but trade on different markets.
Global Blockchain Technologies Corp trades on the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE) and HIVE Blockchain trades on the Toronto Stock Venture Exchange (TSXV).
1. Global Blockchain Technologies Corp (CSE:BLOC)
Global Blockchain is an investment company that gives investors access to a mixture of assets within the blockchain space. Global Blockchain also has its own in-house innovation incubator that gives investors resources to maximize the potential of new blockchain technologies.
Global Blockchain stock has had a rough month and has been on the decline since July 18th. There has yet to be any new news on the company since July 17th.
According to Yahoo Finance, Global Blockchain closed the day out at $0.155 a share, down -$0.025 (-13.89%).
2. HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltc (TSXV:HIVE)
On its website, HIVE Blockchain claims to be the first publicly listed blockchain company that bridges blockchain technology and cryptocurrency to traditional capital markets.
HIVE Blockchain mines cryptocurrencies in Iceland and Sweden, making the mining process low-cost as it uses green/renewable energy to mine. HIVE currently holds a partnership with Genesis mining, the world’s leading cryptocurrency mining hash power provider.
Despite its backing, HIVE’s stock has dropped significantly the past six months. The stock gained some slight momentum mid-July but has since corrected.
According to Yahoo Finance, HIVE closed the market today at $0.69 a share, down -$0.06 (-8.00%).
