Axcelis Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ACLS) has received several orders for its Purion H™ high current system.
Several leading chip manufacturers in the Asia Pacific and North America regions have requested the system, with orders including a new tool evaluation in 3D NAND, a successful tool evaluation closure in mature foundry; and several Non Volatile Memory, mature logic, and DRAM segments.
Most of these orders, save for the new tool evaluation, will count towards the company’s revenue in its fourth quarter.
John Aldeborgh, Executive Vice President of Customer Operations, said, “Robust growth across all market segments has provided significant opportunity for Axcelis to sell the Purion H. We expect this momentum to continue as more chipmakers realize the power of the Purion H’s exceptional productivity, manufacturing flexibility, and device yields, making it ideal for both high volume production and R&D.”
