Stocks Today: Canadian Cannabis Stocks Trending Upward

Stocks Today

Canada is steadily preparing for the national legalization of recreational adult-use cannabis that is set to go into effect in 48 hours. Canadian cannabis companies are scrambling to keep up with the anticipated demand. Due to this demand, Canadian cannabis stocks are trending and in the green on most Canadian markets. Let’s take a closer look at these stocks today.

Stocks Today: Heritage Cannabis Holdings Corp. (CSE:CANN)

Heritage Cannabis is headquartered in Vancouver, BC, and was formerly an energy company that changed its direction to cannabis back in January of 2018.

The cannabis company hasn’t had any news in about a month. Its shares are trading extremely high today, possibly due to most Canadian cannabis companies trading in the green currently.

According to Yahoo Finance, CANN is currently trading at $0.34 a share, up +$0.06 (+19.30%).

Stocks Today: Cannabix Technologies Inc. (CSE:BLO)

Cannabix Technologies is headquartered in Burnaby, BC, and operates as a technology company, and has developed a marijuana breathalyzer for law enforcement and the workplace in North America.

The company provided its latest update on its breathalyzer almost two months ago. It was positive news, but Cannabix has yet to give any big announcements about partnerships as of late. Canadian officials will need a way to check for impaired driving when cannabis legalization rolls out—so breathalyzers are important for the burgeoning industry.

According to Yahoo Finance, the company’s stock price is currently trading at $2.20 a share, up +$0.02 (+0.92%).

Stocks Today: CannaRoyalty Corp (CSE:CRZ)

CannaRoyalty Corp is headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, and operates as a private equity firm that specializes in cannabis acquisitions. The cannabis stock invests in companies within the US and Canada.

Four days ago, the investment firm announced it would be presenting at the US cannabis symposium. The symposium will be held on October 18th, at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.

According to Yahoo Finance, CRZ is currently trading at $7.64 a share, up +$0.39 (+5.38%).
