CyberCore to Start Using BIO-key International’s ID Director for Windows Software Authentication Service

BIO-key International's ID Director

On Monday, December 19, biometric software and hardware systems provider BIO-key International, Inc. (NASDAQ:BKYI) announced that CyberCore Technologies has officially agreed to start using the company’s ID Director for Windows software authentication service. As of this time of writing, BKYI stock is up 38.76%.

It is very likely that CyberCore Technologies agreed to start using the ID Director because the Director combines with Microsoft Active Directory, sending out multi-factor biometric authentication which will meet the harsh compliance demands that were set for any government contractor who is searching for access to information and various critical files.

For those who don’t know, CyberCore Technologies is a top provider of a number of services. Dr. William J. Von Hagel, Jr, who is CyberCore’s Sales Operations Director, stated that it was able to meet all of the requirements needed primarily due to the support they were provided with by the team at BIO-key International.

This isn’t the first good news BIO-key International has had in 2017. In fact, in November, the New Jersey-based company disclosed that it had joined forces with British Columbia, stating that the Canadian province will start to use the company’s fingerprint authentication solution, as well as its WEB-key, for positive biometric ID. There is a good chance this partnership is British Columbia’s testament to maintaining a forward-looking mindset when it comes to balancing its investment in authentication and identity services.

While BIO-key International has made a lot of moves in the market this year, with its announcement about CyberCore Technologies using its ID Director being the latest, the team did just recently lose John Schoenherr as a member of the Board of Directors. While Schoenherr cited his reasons for leaving due to personal problems, adding that there was no disagreement between himself and the company, the loss of one of its members is likely to put a damper on the company, so hopefully Tuesday’s news helped to perk BIO-key backup.
