Growth Opportunity For Graphite Stocks

The fact that usable graphite is so limited, compounded by literally every carmaker moving into electric big time (Volvo, GM, Ford etc. strive to become all-electric), makes this a material companies are going to fight for to get their hands on. While it’s true that graphite can also come “artificially” using synthetic processes (i.e. in China and India), these are harmful to the environment and are being phased out globally toward extinction. There needs to be more graphite produced naturally through mining. This poses significant growth opportunity for the following Graphite companies: 

Tesla, Inc.  (NASDAQ: TSLA) formerly Tesla Motors, is an American company specializing in electric automotives, energy storage and solar panel manufacturing.  Founded in 2003 by CEO Elon Musk and based in Palo Alto, California, the company specializes in electric cars, lithium-ion battery energy storage, and residential photovoltaic panels through its subsidiary company SolarCity. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said that he envisions Tesla as a technology company and independent automaker, aimed at eventually offering electric cars at prices affordable to the average consumer.

Mason Graphite Inc. (TSX-V: LLG), Mason Graphite is a Canadian graphite mining and processing company focused on the development of the Lac Guéret project located in northeastern Quebec. Shares trading at $1.82, and market cap is $245.2 million.

Graphite One Resources Inc. (TSX-V: GPH : OTCQB: GPHOF) founded in 2006 and headquartered in Vancouver, is actively exploring, with the intent to develop its Graphite One Project. whereby the Company could potentially become the dominant American producer of high grade coated spherical graphite. Graphite One is currently exploring its Graphite Creek Property on the Seward Peninsula in Alaska. Shares are trading at $.82 and market cap is $22.5 million.

Northern Graphite Corp., (TSXV: NGC) (OTC: NGPHF) Northern’s principal asset is the Bissett Creek graphite project located east of North Bay, Ontario. The Company has completed a final Feasibility Study and  its major environmental permit. Additional operational permits and species-at-risk permitting are required to commence operations and are expected to be received in 2017.  Northern anticipates that it will be in a position to begin construction of the mine in early 2018, subject to the availability of financing. Shares are trading at .$48 and market cap is $31.37 million.

Graphite Energy Corp.  (CSE: GRE) (OTC: GRXXF), with its Lac Aux Bouleaux Graphite property in Québec set to begin drilling on March 10.
